Coronary Care Unit

A collage of images of staff in our Coronary Care Unit

The Coronary Care Unit (CCU) provides specialist care for patients with acute cardiac conditions including heart attacks, arrhythmias and heart failure. Our patients are reviewed every day by a Cardiology Consultant or a Cardiology Specialist Registrar. The nursing team is composed of and lead by specially trained and highly skilled cardiac nurses with support from specialist nurses in heart failure, arrhythmia and cardiac rehabilitation. We have six beds in a mixed-sex ward set up with an advance cardiac monitoring system in place.
