Elstead Ward is a 30-bed unit that provides specialist care for older patients who have sustained traumatic injuries, particularly fractures and musculoskeletal trauma. We are committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care that addresses the unique needs of older adults recovering from orthopaedic injuries, and helping them to regain their independence.
Our services:
We have a multidisciplinary team of experienced healthcare professionals. This consists of specialist consultants, junior doctors, specialist nurses, healthcare assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, case managers and social services, with input from other services such as dietitians, speech and language therapists as required.
Working collaboratively, we provide compassionate, round-the-clock care and focus on maximising each patient’s potential for recovery and independence.
