NHS England provide information on average waiting times for all trusts. This is updated weekly and available to view on the My Planned Care website.
The average waiting time is the average (mean) of all patients waiting within the specialty and will include routine and urgent referrals. This means that some patients will wait less time than the average and some patients will wait longer than the average waiting time.
All patients are managed based on their clinical urgency and therefore waiting times will vary depending on each patient’s clinical condition.
Unless there has been a change in your symptoms please do not contact your GP. They will not be able to update you on waiting times or speed up the process.
If you have specific concerns or questions please use the contact details on your hospital letter; or if you do not have a letter with these contact details, please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS).
