Paediatric Gastroenterology

Management and Support of children and young people with gastroenterology issues. We provide:

  • General paediatric gastroenterology clinics (consultant delivered).
  • Coeliac multi-disciplinary clinics, where consultants and dietitians work together with patients and their families to support them in managing their condition.
  • Tertiary joint gastroenterology clinics, led by Dr Hanci, Dr Njenga and Dr Batra (visiting Paediatric Gastroenterologist), a paediatric gastroenterology clinical nurse specialist and a dietitian.
  • Transition gastroenterology clinics, led by Dr Hanci, Dr Njenga and Dr Banks (Adult Gastroenterologist), an adult inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) clinical nurse specialist, Dr Batra (visiting paediatric gastroenterologist), a paediatric gastroenterology clinical nurse specialist and a dietitian.

How to access the service?

 We take referrals from GPs and other hospital services.

Who is eligible for the service?

Children and adolescents up to the age of 18.
