Outpatient Physiotherapy Fracture Clinic Service

This service provides follow-up care for patients who have sustained fractures and other musculoskeletal injuries.

Service details

If you have been referred to the service, one of our chartered physiotherapists will call you within two weeks of your injury to give you personalised advice and/or exercise.

How to access the service?

You are referred to this service via A&E only. Please note that your GP or the Minor Injuries Unit cannot refer you into fracture clinic.

What to expect during your appointment?

A qualified physiotherapist will call you at an arranged time. They will discuss your problem, ask some relevant questions and check your medical details.  Following which they will discuss the management of your condition and give you advice and exercises as appropriate

If required, the physiotherapist will arrange for a follow-up face-to-face appointment during the call.

Where are clinics held?

These clinics are held virtually or on the telephone. An appointment will be booked should you require a follow-up.
