Patients’ Choice Award

Say thank you to the individuals or teams who made a real difference to your care.

Each year, Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust holds a staff awards ceremony to celebrate the outstanding dedication of our people. As part of this, we invite patients, carers and family members to nominate for two very special awards:

• Patients’ Choice Award - Individual
• Patients’ Choice Award - Team

These awards are your opportunity to show your appreciation for a person or team who went above and beyond during your care.

Who can you nominate?

Anyone who works within Royal Surrey hospitals (Guildford, Milford, Haslemere or Cranleigh) or our community services.

This could be a nurse, doctor, therapist, porter, receptionist, or any other staff member — or an entire team that supported you or your loved one. 

What makes a good nomination?

We’d love to hear about how someone:

• Made you feel safe, seen or cared for.
• Supported you or your family during a difficult time.
• Provided outstanding care or service.
• Brightened your day with kindness or compassion.
• No act is too small. Sometimes, a kind word or thoughtful gesture can make all the difference.

Tuesday 14 July 2026 at 11.59pm

What happens next?

Everyone nominated will be recognised. All nominations will be reviewed, and one winner and two runners-up will be selected for each category. Finalists will be invited to our 2026 Royal Surrey Stars Awards Ceremony in November.
