Our Department of Urology specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate and male reproductive organs.
We offer services to patients in our local community of Surrey and surrounding areas as well as further afield stretching from Basingstoke to Worthing through our NHS partnerships within our regional cancer alliance. Our patients are mostly adults, men and women, but we also work with children aged five and above.
Find out more about the care and treatment of urological cancers on our dedicated cancer website.
We are internationally renowned for treatment of prostate and bladder cancer, specialising in the minimally invasive surgical procedures of prostate brachytherapy and robotic surgery. And we are one of the largest centres in the UK providing robotic surgery to both the prostate as well as for bladder cancer.
All our prostate cancer operations – radical prostatectomies – are performed robotically with one of our four state-of-the-art Da Vinci robots.
All patients newly diagnosed with urological cancer are reviewed in a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meeting with our experts in cancer, linking with our neighbouring hospitals, Frimley Park Hospital, Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital, Surrey and Sussex Hospital, Chichester Hospital, Worthing Hospital and Basingstoke Hospital. The MDT advises on the optimal treatment and follow up for patient.
We offer the following clinics:
All men and women with urological conditions. We also see urological paediatric patients over the age of five years.
We accept referrals from GPs or local urologists via the ERS system. All suspected cancers are referred by the GP on the two week rule pathway.
