On Saturday 28 June from 11am-3pm, Royal Surrey is opening up the doors of its Guildford hospital and Cancer Centre to welcome in members of the community for a unique, behind-the-scenes experience.

What’s on offer?

It’s a free, family-friendly event with something for everyone. You'll get a rare chance to meet the incredible people behind our services, ask questions, and see how care is delivered both inside and outside the hospital.

Here's just a snapshot of what you’ll be able to see and do:

  • Hospital tours – Explore our operating theatres, cancer centre or radiology services - see X-ray and ultrasound equipment in action
  • Entertainment – Enjoy performances from our hospital choir
  • Hands-on activities – Learn first aid and try health-focused demos
  • Family fun – Face painting, bubble shows, crafts and prizes
  • Emergency Services – Meet local police and fire teams and first responders with vehicles on-site
  • Career insights – Discover pathways into nursing, midwifery, medicine and more
  • Health checks – Check your blood pressure or visit the Prostate Project’s ‘Man Van’ to have your PSA tested
